Do I still have your attention? Then you’ll be happy to hear about js2-mode. You may even think such a thing is long overdue. It’s designed for people who write JavaScript using GNU Emacs, the enormous text editor. There are a few other JavaScript modes for Emacs floating around out there, but none of them met Stevey’s needs.
js2-mode‘s features include adjustable syntax highlighting using Mozilla’s own parser; smart indentation; code folding; syntax warnings; and quite a bit more.
